Dowager Quarterly

We've been collecting back-issues, but they are hard to come by.
Fortunately, Donna Lethal and Muscato each have subscriptions.
As well they should.

I'm swooning over my fainting couch! Pass the smelling salts - I'm so pleased that other issues have surfaced!

How uncanny.
I was just today thinking of subscribing myself, feeling very dowager-ey lately.
The "free lorgnette" upon subscription is quite tempting.

One does not subscribe to periodicals. One's staff may do so. One is not familiar with the reading materials available in the kitchen.

I can only take credit for the bottom one. The top is from Donna, the other two...who knows?

Oh,I'm happy to be a credit-hog - "Pearl fingering" and Lou Hoover are all me.

In so many ways.

The former, by the way, features one of my favorites, Mabell, Countess of Airlie, Queen Mary's bosom pal and much more fun than de Laszlo's rather solemn portrait limns..
