I always watched the Perry Mason shows and movies, but I never had that keen sense of gay when I was little. Not for Raymond. He was totally awesome though.

Supposedly, William Hopper (son of Hedda), his "Perry Mason" sidekick, long carried a torch for Raymond. His mother, ironically, was the quintessential fag hag AND a rabid conservative/Commie baiter/homophobe.

Who knew? Not I! Brad Garrett reminds me of him in his younger days. Funny how we enjoy the same hobbies! (the only difference is I can't manage to collect any wine, I'm just a lush...)
