I feel dizzy--as if shut up in a room with an open vat of industrial solvent. Def. a 70s event.

Seemed a lot of non- (or maybe past) ABC celebs there. Redd Foxx and John Wayne for instance. Tidal flow of called-in favors . . .

The only thing that could make that more horrifying/fabulous would be if, at the end of that last tracking shot of the gathered spectacle, the whole thing had been hit by a tidal wave and inverted a la Poseidon.

Some enterprising filmqueer should stop-motion animate that entire sequence using Mego character dolls - I know there was Toni Tenille, and it would not at all surprise me if there were King Cousins (plus, Cher could be there!).

Yes! I think the stop-motion animation w/ Mego dolls IN COMBINATION with the tidal wave would be the ideal viewing experience.

Change the name of the ship from Poseidon to The Pacific Princess and they've all come full circle in time. I don't think there's one person on that stage that wasn’t a guest "star" on the Love boat.
